We ended up in Branson for our quick vacation before school started. We spent two days at Silver Dollar City. The kids road ride after ride. Alexa even road Fire in the Hole with Jeremiah (Mom's afraid of roller coasters). We also rented a boat for an afternoon and cruised around Tablerock. When we finally booked our hotel, everything was booked because of a car show in town. We ended up at the Hilton located at the Branson Landing. There was shopping everywhere and a fountain and shows, even a train you can ride through the mountains. We all had lots of fun. Here's some pictures.
